To build up the pattern you can name the components one after the other by clicking the button VARIABLE. The links will be put in by clicking the button CONNECT. Additional names and different icons (by the clicking the button SYMBOLS) will complete the picture.
This way the tool will give you the possibility, independent from the main set of variables and the following system tools to visualize a first picture of the system after your own imagination.
