# Connect the variables To establish or alter the links between the variables the button CONNECT has to be activated. A small grey bar with the different kinds of connections appears on top: The mouse arrow (to move variables and connections),
a thin black arrow (= normal effect),
**a thick red arrow (= very strong effect)**
and a crossed arrow (to delete a connection).
To build up a link, the effecting variable must be clicked briefly with the left mouse key. If you now move the drawing pencil with the mouse to another variable, it will pull the arrow you have selected in the grey bar like an elastic band.
If a link has been established corrections can be made by repeating the procedure. To delete a wrong connection, you must choose the crossed arrow in the grey bar, then first click the effecting variable, then the target variable with the left mouse key and the arrow is removed.
If you want to change a **dotted line** into a full one, you just have to repeat the setting with the correct kind of arrow.
16 arrows at the most can be tied up at every variable.
