# CRITERIA MATRIX **Checking for SYSTEM relevance**

# Methodical Approach With this tool you should check the set of variables for its relevance to the system.
Attribute whole, half, or no points - depending on how a variable represents the questioned criteria.
The meaning of each criteria you find out by clicking the questioned line with the right mouse key.
Delete wrong points by clicking on the red X.
Go with each variable through all criteria before taking the next variable to task. This way you get to know each variable thoroughly from every side.
Often you will notice, that your definition or your description should be different. You can correct this on the spot.
If you want to know more about the matrix of criteria, you will find out by clicking the other buttons of this INFO- page.
# Background Information This important step makes sure that the set of variables reflects all relevant points of view of a viable system. *** Only this type of examination of the system can give reliable statements with a small quantity of variables (20-30 instead of thousands). *** The called up in this tool have to be fulfilled by the set of variables as a whole, but not by a single variable. *** This way not only the measurable data but also the equally important qualitative or "soft" data can be registered and taken into account in the following systems analysis. *** This questioning of the variables opens our eyes to different 'intrinsic' characteristics and significance.

# NOTES: All seven spheres of life must be represented by system variables. Each of those will represent at least one of the three physical system characteristics as well as at least one of the four dynamic characteristics of the system and two of the system opening and influencing characteristics.
If it is a business entity one can use the CPC (Corporate Performance Criteria) list.
